Grand Concourse History Ride

Grand Concourse History Ride

Sunday, May 6, 2012 - 11:00am

Join Boogie Down Rides (boogiedownrides.tumblr.com) and Jane's Walk (janeswalk.net) for a ride up the Grand Concourse--the Bronx's own Boulevard of Dreams. The Grand Concourse was originally designed to accomodate many different types of transportation--including bikes--to connect Central Park and Manhattan to the expansive parks and open spaces of the Bronx.

The ride will conclude at “This Side of Paradise,” presented by No Longer Empty the historic Andrew Freedman Home. Participants in the ride will be invited to explore this exciting exhibition, that draws together the economic and social history of the Home with the present day realities of the borough.
