Transportation Alternatives and its Staten Island Volunteer Committee are excited to host the 2nd Annual Tour de Staten Island on Saturday, May 12!
The Tour de Staten Island is free!
The Tour de Staten Island is a “ride at your own pace” event, which means that there will not be an NYPD escort or road closures. The route will marked with painted arrows, riders will receive a cue sheet and will be free to begin the tour as soon as they have checked in and received their official rider-bib.
The 21.5 mile tour will start and end at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark, home of the mighty Staten Island Yankees! The route will showcase the lovely FDR Boardwalk along South Beach, before heading inland to the rest stop at Historic Richmondtown, followed by a challenging climb through the greenbelt, and a jaunt through historic Snug. The ride will finish back at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark, conveniently located next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
T.A.’s Staten Island Volunteer Committee will be on hand to welcome you back at the finish. We hope you will stick around to learn more about what they’re doing to make Staten Island a great place to ride a bike.
Registration opens on April 26.
