A pleasant, absolutely non-competitive meander down the West Side Bike Path, over the Manhattan Bridge, then along the Brooklyn Heights Bike Path and local streets to a lunch at Fairway, overlooking NY Bay. Shmooze as long as desired at lunch, then take the Ikea Ferry back to Manhattan--if available. You need not be a NYCC member to participate on this ride. After lunch, you're welcome to follow the leaders through Cobble Hill and Brooklyn Heights to a subway return, back to the Manhattan Bridge, or to join many of us as we continue through Williamsburg and Greenpoint, then over the Pulaski Bridge to Queens, and on to Manhattan via the 59th St Bridge. Folders--we'll ride ours--beater bikes, scooters as well as recumbent bikes and trikes welcome. You must wear a helmet, have a filled water bottle, lunch money, and a sunny disposition.
